This is kind of a side game in the Shining Force series. It's pretty unique and I had never heard of it before I downloaded it.. but it was actually pretty good. Just a little plain in most areas.

Gameplay:
This game useis a uniqe first person view. You never see your character, rather see what your character sees.

Movement- Like I said, it's first person. But the map is a bit different. When you leave an area, a map is brought up. You then select the location you wish to visit and you're off.

Dungeons- Dungeons are extremely confusing. Because you see first person.. I think you can imagine how easy it is to get lost.

Fighting- You get in random fights like most other games. You'll just be walkin around when an enemy (or enemies) apear in front of you. You can then select to attack them, use an item, cast a spell, or run away. I think that this game is a little too challenging, but that's just my opinion (it sucks when you're going back to town to get more herbs when you're suddenly attacked by 3 powerful enemies and then killed...).

The Menu- This game uses the annoying menu system from the shining force games. You hit "A" and then it brings up the menu allowing you to talk, search, look at stats, or use magic. This is especially annoying in shops.

Shopping- Personally I find it annoying when the shopkeeper asks you 50 times whether or not you're sure you're done shopping. But it does show you what each of the items you're purchasing look like.

Control
Control for the most part is easy, but in dungeons getting lost is a problem. Also the menu system is just plain annoying as hell. But when you're just moving around in town or stuff like that, control is a breaze.

Graphics
This game has really nice animated graphics. The map (where you choose where you're going) is lookin nice and spiffy with really detailed and smooth structures. The only complaint about graphics is that when you do select a place on the map it zooms in and makes everything really blocky.

Music
Standard music, nothin too special, but nothing bad either. Like I say in every review I've written.. if you don't like it, mute it.

Story
The story is a completely unoriginal one with a few twists. The princess was captive by some evil guy named Dark Sol. The only thing is that your father (the best night in your kingdom) was protecting her. You feel that if you help the king look for the princess then you will also find your father. Nothin too advanced here, but it's still a fun game.

Overall
Overall a pretty decent game that will keep you busy for a couple hours (or longer). I think the first person view is pretty neat at first, but once you enter the Laberinth you will see its downfall... confusing dungeons. I would look for a download of this game to try it out if I were you... but I'm not cuz I already have it.. but anyways.. download it!
